Kyla LeeAnne Miller Memorial Scholarship
As a young child, Kyla dreamed of growing up, getting
married and becoming a mommy, and becoming a school teacher.
She was inspired by all of the love and patience she
received from her elementary school teachers, and she wanted
to share that love with other children. Sadly, Kyla's
dream died with her, but her legacy lives on in the Kyla
LeeAnne Miller Memorial Scholarship at Bermudian Springs
High School.During Kyla's last months she wanted her
parents to do something for her classmates that would help
keep her memory alive. The memorial scholarship does
just that. It is a $1,500.00 one-time scholarship for
a graduating senior enrolled in a four-year college majoring
in Elementary Education or Criminal Justice. The tie
to Elementary Education commemorates Kyla's love of school;
the tie to Criminal Justice is in honor of her status as an
Honorary member of the Blue Knights - a law enforcement
organization where the members teach the public about
motorcycle safety and raise money for charities.
Students applying for the memorial scholarship must meet
